Wonderful, highly informative and enlightening article about a brilliant basketball coach. I did not know about Coach Daly’s impressive collegiate coaching past until reading your article.
Jeffrey, Thanks as always for being a loyal reader of The Sports Time Traveler. This was one of those articles that I was not planning on writing. But when I read the December 12, 1975 article with the interview with Chuck Daly I was shocked at how he predicted what Rutgers would do and that got me thinking that this was a clear demonstration of how brilliant a basketball guy Daly was. It's no surprise that 17 years later he coached the Dream Team after reading this article. Today's article was just like yesterday's article I pubilshed on Dr. J in that I didn't see these stories coming. They're the types of "discoveries" in the past that make this sports time travel experience so thrilling. Thanks again for taking this journey with me.
Love your comment! I too worked in Fortune 100 companies for decades and the Daly approach worked very well for me. But I never praised our competitors!!!
